“God is” becomes a complete sentence as far as the truth it expresses

God Is
In the Beginning – Part 1

Scripture Reading: Genesis 1:1-5

Key Verse: Genesis 1:1

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

Our faith needs to start where the Bible starts: “In the beginning God…”  “God is” becomes a complete sentence as far as the truth it expresses.  God has always existed.  He is the A-Z, as far as His existence; from the beginning to the end—God is.  Timeless evidence is almost impossible for us to grasp.  There is a world beyond the one we experience that knows nothing of time!  The apostle peter put it this way: “A day is like a thousand years and a thousand years is like a day” (2 Peter 3:8).  In other words, in God’s world, there is no time, only eternity.  The only true way to express God and His existence: God is!

When Genesis refers to God it uses the word “Elohim” 2,570 times in the Old Testament.  This is plural, meaning, Father, Son and Holy Spirit.  The noun form of Elohim is “Eloah” and this is found 3,000 times in the Old Testament.  This references God’s everlasting nature; the eternal Supreme Being.  The Bible wants us to truly understand that God has always existed.  We serve one God, with three functions: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who exist in a timeless eternity!

Your heavenly Father sees your future and works all things out for your good.  There are no surprises to God.  We can trust all his judgments because of His almighty and eternal nature.  This is why we worship Him only!

Father, I trust you because you see all, know all and are able to bring about your perfect plan for my life.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
