Scripture Reading: Psalm 25

Key Verse: Psalm 25:4-5

“Show me your ways, O Lord, teach me your paths, guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.”

This is one of my favorite Psalms of David. I find myself in it often for direction and comfort, but verses 4 & 5 have become my personal life verses. I pray them almost every day. Whenever I come up against a fork in the road, a decision to be made, some kind of conflict that I need guidance in, I lift this prayer to God. The coolest thing to me is that even though David wrote this so long ago in a time of personal struggle and need, that same prayer, when spoken from my heart today, will be heard and answered by the same powerful, faithful God of David! WOW!

So, if today you find yourself up against a giant, a king, or a temptation, do as David did and ask for God, your Savior, your Lord, to show you the way. Ask Him to teach you and guide you in the right direction! I can promise you that when you do that, you will find that He will be your HOPE all the day long!

Lord, show me your ways, walk with me along this path. Help me to stay in step with you God. Guide me to your truth and help me to be pliable and teachable! I praise you, for you ARE my hope!
