Grace and Peace – Part 2

Scripture Reading: Galatians 1:3-5

Key Verse: Galatians 1:3

May God the Father and our Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace.

After reading yesterday’s devotional, what would you guess results from receiving God’s grace? If you guessed peace, you would be exactly correct. God’s unmerited favor that is extended to us will always produce peace in the heart of that believer. If peace doesn’t come, then true faith and/or understanding of God’s grace hasn’t happened.

Read what the Apostle Paul wrote: “…if God is for us, who can be against us? He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all—how will he not, also, along with Him, graciously give us all things?” (Romans 8:31-32). In the first verse of that same chapter, Paul reminds us, “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus because through Christ Jesus the law of the spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death” (Romans 8:1-2). Peace always accompanies grace—it just makes sense!

The evil one loves to rob us of our peace. He is continually trying to make us feel condemned; guilty for our human failures. Don’t give the devil an inch in your life. Speak back to his lies; remind him that you are free of condemnation and are righteous before God because of your faith in Jesus. When God’s children feel unloved by God, they must stop and rebuke those feelings in Jesus’ name. Nothing can separate us from His love.

Father, I enjoy peace in my heart because of your grace. I will sing your praises today. In Jesus’ name, amen.
