E.G.N. represents people you will need extra grace to love

An “E.G.N.” Relationship
Extra Grace Needed – Part 2

“No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!

After yesterday’s devotional, I hope I’ve made a case for all Christ followers to have a generous forgiving spirit!  We are going to be faced with E.G.N. relationships in our life.  E.G.N. represents those people around you that take extra grace on your part if you are going to live a life of love.

The list that makes a person an E.G.N. person is limitless.  Maybe they talk too much or maybe they are a person who has little empathy for others.  E.G.N. people can be people who are socially awkward, not fitting in to the norms of our society.  They might be a hot tempered person that repeatedly snaps at you.  These E.G.N. people often want more of your time than you feel you have/want to give them.

I imagine you have at least one person in your mind that is an E.G.N. person.  What is the proper response to these relationships?  How do you normally handle them?  Many answer these questions with answers like: “dump them” and/or “avoid them as much as possible.”  Our question this week is: What would Jesus want us to do with E.G.N. relationships?  E.G.N. relationships can speak volumes about us, as much as the E.G.N. person.  Take the journey with me; determine not to ignore the value of E.G.N. relationships!

Father, I know that I am an E.G.N. person to you!  I am grateful for your care and patience with me.  Help me to pass it on to others.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
