Walk each day being convinced that the power of the Lord is upon us!

How to Be Blessed By God
Understanding Power

Scripture: Ephesians 1:19-20 LB

I pray that you will begin to understand how incredibly great his power is to help those who believe him.  It is that same mighty power 20 that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in heaven

As children, we were told the story of the king who was convinced by those around him that he was dressed in beautiful clothes made just for him.  At first, he would not believe them because he could see himself dressed in only his underwear.  As you remember, the facts were that he really was dressed ONLY in his underwear!  But those around him did such a great job of convincing him that he really was dressed in beautiful clothes that the king paraded around proudly in public, convinced that he was dressed like a king.  The people laughed and laughed at this foolish king who believed something that was not!

Sometimes I wonder if down deep we Christ followers think we may be foolishly believing something that is not!  Today’s scripture tells us of an incredibly great power that is available to all who will believe!  Are we going to walk around today and be made a fool of because we’ve convinced ourselves of a power in us that really isn’t?  The difference is in the “advisors” that we listen to.  Unfortunately, the king had poor advisors that tricked him.  As we read the Bible, it is God’s Word and it has stood the test of the ages.  We can trust it!

What is the first step in becoming “strong in the Lord”?  It is walking through each day being convinced that the power of the Lord is upon us!  And it is if you have received Jesus as your Savior!  Being strong starts with simply believing we are strong…totally convinced that we are victors; never victims!

“Father, I am going to walk with the confidence of that king today.  Only my confidence comes from the facts of your Word.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
