A Card Carrier’s Money
Goals for Money – Part 3
Scripture Reading: Luke 12:13-21
Key Verse: Luke 12:20
“But God said to him, ‘You fool! You will die this very night. Then who will get everything you worked for?’
Malachi chapter 3 starts: “I the Lord do not change…” This is the truth that we must remember; God is the same yesterday, today and forever. God told the people of Malachi’s day, that they were robbing Him because they were not giving their tithe. In fact, God told them that they were under a curse, because of their selfish ways with their money. Then God said something that we never hear anywhere else in the Bible, “Test me in this!” God is challenging the people to give their tithe to God’s house and that God would bless them beyond their imaginations. Take a few moments and read the exact wording for yourself.
Will God bless you for tithing? If there is a God in Heaven, and if it is true that He never changes, you can count on God opening the windows of Heaven and pouring out a blessing beyond your imagination. His blessings come in many forms, but don’t you believe that any blessing from God is far greater than anything you could imagine here on earth?
I have often said that if you show me a person who is afraid to tithe, I will show you a person who doesn’t truly know God. God is a God who watches over His people. He understands our needs and wants to be our provider. He is the only true judge of what is a need and what is a want; we must trust Him on that. My testimony has been for years, I live on 90% of my income far better than I could live on 100% of it, because of God’s blessings.
Father, I will trust you with my money. It all belongs to you and I will honor you with good management of it. I’ll trust your provisions for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
