Christmas Landscape

What would happen to your home if you decided to love your family like Jesus loved you?

The Manger
Whosoever Will – Part 3

Scripture Reading: Revelation 22:14-17

Key Verse: Revelation 22:17

The Spirit and the bride say, “Come.” Let anyone who hears this say, “Come.” Let anyone who is thirsty come. Let anyone who desires drink freely from the water of life.

We are all familiar with John 3:16, “For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.”

Do you feel unworthy of God’s love? We all are, even if some are too proud to admit their unworthiness. Our forgiveness and eternal life is not about our goodness; it’s all about God’s goodness. Jesus lying in that manger was the picture God wanted the world to focus on, and we are still looking at mangers as part of the landscape of Christmas. The lowly and under resourced person can find their way to Jesus and become a child of the Most High God!

It’s interesting to me that 1 John 3:16 is a wonderful companion to John 3:16. This little letter toward the back of your Bible tells us: “We know what real love is because Jesus gave up His life for us. So we also ought to give up our lives for our brothers and sisters” (1 John 3:16 NLT).

What would happen to your home life if you decided to love your family like Jesus loved you? It would be transformed! What would happen at your work or in your neighborhood if you determined to love those around you like Jesus loved you? Why not start the new year off with a Jesus-centered resolution? Why not decide to give yourself to caring for people like Jesus cares for you?

Father, I praise You for loving me and making me a member of Your family. With Your help I will love others today with Your love! In Jesus’s name, amen.
