Our Plan Comes Together – Part 2
Scripture Reading: Romans 8:26-30
Key Verse: Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.
How pleased would God be with us if, when troubles come our way, we say to ourselves: “God is working His plan—it’s all coming together”? How much better would we feel if we remembered that? How much more effective would our witness be to those around us if we talked like that?
The good news: That is a true statement; it’s a fact! When we are facing difficult issues, God is right in the middle of it all, working and shaping those circumstances so that it will all turn out for our good. This is not saying that God causes these tough times; we live in a broken world and that causes our trials. However, as God’s children we know our heavenly Father has a plan for each of our lives. He is hard at work, every day, putting all the pieces of it together for us. We can count on it!
The Bible tells us that the just will live daily by faith. Are you? Don’t let hard times steal your faith, and thus your joy. The Apostle Peter wrote: “…so when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world (1 Peter 1:7). Practice saying the words, even when it’s hard to believe it: “God is working His plan—it’s all coming together.” It will help to keep your faith strong.
Father, thank You for leading me to Yourself. Complete Your plan in me. Use me to Your glory. In Jesus’s name, amen.
