You Have a Right to Rejoice

The big payoff for continually rejoicing is God’s peace in our lives

Our Payoff for Rejoicing
Who Can Be Against Us?

Scripture Reading: Romans 8:32-29

Key Verse: Romans 8:31

What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

The big payoff for rejoicing is God’s peace in our lives. This peace comes because of all that God has given us, His children. This should become an unbroken cycle of rejoicing. Today’s printed key verse reminds us, if God is for us, who can come against us? Today, you, as a child of God, have absolutely nothing to worry about. That may sound exaggerated, but biblically it really is not! God has everything under control and working out for your benefit and His glory. As His child, all I need to do is believe and rejoice!

This confidence starts at God’s invitation to join His family. The apostle describes this call from God to our lives. As we accept His invitation, through faith in Jesus, we are justified before God and by God. From this point forward, nothing can separate us from the love of God. No matter what we go through, God is with us and will keep us by His power.

In our disappointments, we cling to our faith that even these will change to joy when we gain full understanding! As it was with our children when we had to say “no,” it was for their good. They grew and matured to the point where they understood the “no’s” of their childhood. When we get to heaven, there will not be one single decision of God that we’ll disagree with! Let’s determine now to rejoice in all things. We can get in agreement with God by our faith even if our understanding is not complete!

Father, I do agree with you. You are right and worthy of my praise and worship. Remind me of these facts throughout this day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
