Prayer Establishes Our Rapture to God
No Mind Can Conceive

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”–

This week’s emphasis was to help us realize the importance of the phrase, “May your kingdom come,” in our Lord’s model prayer. I hope you will always include at least the concept in your daily prayers.

The coming kingdom is so glorious—so superior—to the present kingdom where we live, it is exciting to think about. If you have ever day-dreamed about winning the lottery, let me encourage you to direct your daydreaming to something that is so much better and a reality for every believer! Stop chasing after the lottery and increase your energy toward God’s coming kingdom!

We ought to allow the apostle’s words to echo in our minds every week or so: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him.” Let’s memorize that verse, repeating it over and over! I believe, if we do, it will create that excitement and enthusiasm for the coming kingdom of God that our world shows for game show winners. Our world is good to a few. God’s kingdom will be good for all—every single person who chooses to follow God, through Jesus Christ.

Will you join me in praying the model prayer as an outline or guide to praying each day? When we come to the phrase, “Your kingdom come,” let’s stop and repeat 1 Corinthians 2:9. Each day, let’s allow Paul’s words to sink in, transforming our thinking and our desires. May the things of earth grow strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace!

Father, forgive me when I crave the material wealth of this world. With your help, I will focus on the mind-boggling grandeur of your coming kingdom. In Jesus’ Name, amen.
