Mary’s questions were answered with five words: Nothing is impossible with God

Embrace His Virgin Birth
Nothing is Impossible – Part 1

Scripture Reading: 1 John 5:13-15

Key Verse: Luke 1:38

“I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May it be to me as you have said.” Then the angel left her.

The answer to all Mary’s questions was five powerful words: Nothing is impossible with God.  Christmas reveals that truth and is at the heart of our celebration each year.  Most might not verbalize it this way, but the truth is: Christmas was the revelation of God’s work for mankind.  It would set up our faith, helping all believers understand that God has no limit to His abilities.

As we move into another year, let this truth from the Christmas story go with you: Nothing is impossible with God.  Repeat it whenever fear grips you!  Repeat it when stress starts to strangle your faith.  Repeat it when problems pile up and look like uncrossable mountains!  Never allow the words of Gabriel to leave you: Nothing is impossible with God!

Mary was a virgin and had no human logic that could grasp being pregnant until she was with Joseph.  Had an angel not appeared to Joseph in a dream, he could never have believed Mary’s story!  It was too wild.  It was too big a leap of faith in Mary’s truthfulness.  A virgin birth was beyond the imagination of anyone living at that time.  Yet, our truth for today proved itself at the conception of Christ.  Nothing is impossible for God!

Father, I will cling to the miracle of the virgin birth.  It is my hope for every problem I face: Nothing is too hard for you.  In Jesus’ name, amen.
