God wants to reveal truths to you so you can know Him better each and every day.

Second Will Be First
No Eye Has Seen – Part 2

Scripture Reading:  1 Corinthians 2:6-16

Key Verse:  1 Corinthians 2:9

However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”

Let’s continue yesterday’s thoughts with the Apostle Paul’s words in verse 13: “This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, expressing spiritual truths in spiritual words.”  Paul is reminding us that God’s Spirit was upon him, working in him, as he was writing down these thoughts.  Paul’s teachings were not out of a human imagination.  We can trust these thoughts as the thoughts of God Himself.

When Jesus Christ is first in your life, making you “second,” a flow of heavenly wisdom can exist in your life.  Our spirits can bear witness to Paul’s writings, believing them to be true.  We must recognize that not all our thoughts are from our own human mind.  Some of our thoughts are from the Spirit of God living in us.  As we learn to discern God’s voice, we grow in our understanding of eternal truths.  The Apostle Paul prayed for the Ephesian Christ followers that God would give them the “Spirit of wisdom and revelation” so that they would know God better (Ephesians 1:17-19).

Why not ask God to give you that same Spirit of wisdom and revelation today?  God wants to reveal truths to you so you can know Him better each and every day.  These revelations will always confirm the truths of the Bible, never contradict it.

Father, grant me revelations today that I may grow in my knowledge of you!  I am second; You are first!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
