God’s Call:
You Are Called

There are different kinds of working, but the same God works all of them in all men.

The scriptures are clear: All of God’s children are gifted to accomplish a “call” that God assigns to each one.  Some calls seem more dramatic and important to our eyes, but God sees all of His “missions” as equally important.  When He gives us a call, He wants us to take it seriously.

            This past week we have tried to help identify the call in your life.  I hope you will review it from time to time, especially if you are struggling to identify your call.  Whatever you do, don’t ignore this issue in your walk with God.  God has a work that has your name written all over it.  It will not be some work that you have no idea about.  He has been equipping you for many years to do this work.  Your mission will match your gifts and talents.  God has carefully knit you together, according to Psalm 139:13.  That same Psalm reminds us that God knew us before we were formed in our mother’s womb and knew all our days before they came to be!

            So with all this planning on God’s part, we have no reason to fear; failure is not an option.  Even when we evaluate some work a failure, God may be working one of His great purposes through it.  As the Psalmist David wrote: “His hand will ever guide me” (vs.10).  Seek God and His calling on your life!  Pray without ceasing, determine to find and accomplish God’s calling on your life!

Father, reveal to me your mission for me.  Big or small, I accept and will walk before you in obedience!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
