Prayer is not a substitute for hard work – prayer is the work.

Corporate Prayer

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6

Prayer is not a substitute for hard work – prayer is the work.  As we pray and as our attention is turned toward God, we become more receptive to aligning ourselves with His will.  God requires our full and complete attention before He will fill us with the powerful presence of His Spirit.  Regardless of the task you have been chosen for, prayer must be the key element in every aspect of your efforts.  Attempting to succeed on your own without prayer is like building a house without a foundation. It will soon crumble and fall.

As you move forward, always remember to never lose focus on the fact that without prayer, the best actors, the best props, or the best script will NOT change lives.  You must invite God’s presence into every phase of your planning.  Only God can change lives.
