What does God want in this world? What does God want in our community?

What God Wants!

I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone– [2] for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. [3] This is good, and pleases God our Savior, [4] who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. – 1 Timothy 2:1-4

What does God want in this world?  What does God want in our community?  Our scripture answers that clearly: “…God, our Savior, who wants all men to be saved.”  We often struggle to know what God wants in many of the areas of our life and our church.  But let’s not lose sight of this eternal truth: Any effort on our part to present opportunities for a person to get saved is God’s will!

Judgement House is our fall evangelistic campaign.  It is our effort to present the Gospel to the young and the old.  It is our effort (and it takes great effort from hundreds of us) to stop people from living without Jesus!  We are locking arms to storm the gates of hell and present the flow of souls from being eternally lost!

This drama is not powerful because of its story line—though it has a good story line.  Judgement House is not powerful because we have such great actors in all its scenes—though we have a lot of gifted people.  This fall campaign is powerful because of its all-consuming goal: To get people saved.  That goal is powerful because it follows the heart of God.  Judgement House says with the Apostle Paul: By all means (methods) to get some saved.  No matter what piece you play in this effort, God will bless you for helping get what He wants!

Prayer: “Father, I am determined to follow your heart and help provide opportunities for lost people to find Jesus.  Grant me strength.  In Jesus’ Name, Amen!”
