Do you think it is an accident that the most popular and familiar verse in the Bible is John 3:16?

Whosoever Will

Scripture: John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Do you think it is an accident that the most popular and familiar verse in the Bible is John 3:16?  Did that popularity come about simply because some guys decided to write it on their chest and take their shirts off at televised football games?  Of course not!  God was behind the scenes making sure this verse of “Good News” was the number one verse our world would know and remember.

This verse does not stand alone for us to cling to its truth.  In John 3:15 it confirms: “That everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.”  Matthew’s Gospel reminds us of the reason for Jesus’ birth: “…for I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners” (Matthew 9:13).  In the book of Timothy, a picture of the Good News is clearly painted: “Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners…for those who would believe on him and receive eternal life (1 Timothy 1:15-16).

We must teach and preach this Good News to all we have influence on in our world.  We must verbalize it as well as preach it in the way we live our lives.  Judgement House is simply a way to preach the Good News through drama.  Everyone who helps make JH happen, no matter how small their part, helps reach people who are far from God.  JH preaches the eternal truths necessary for our salvation.

Father, thank you for the privilege of sharing the joy of my salvation with others!  In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
